Coordinated Direct Investment Survey

The Coordinated Direct Investment Survey (CDIS), which is an initiative of the IMF, is a survey that is carried out on an annual basis by the Bank to collect statistics on direct investment positions (that is, assets and liabilities) of Mauritian residents, including separate data on net equity and net debt positions, by country. Direct investment is a category of cross-border investment where a resident in one economy has control or a significant degree of influence on the management of an enterprise resident in another economy. The Bank has been conducting the national CDIS annually since 2009.
