IRFCL Template

The IRFCL Template provides a comprehensive picture of the country’s international reserves and net drains on foreign currency assets, both on- and off-balance sheet activities (positions and transactions). The template consists of four integral sections: (i) official reserve assets and other foreign currency assets (ii) predetermined short-term net drains on foreign currency assets; (iii) contingent short-term net drains on foreign currency assets and (iv) memorandum item. In observance of the IMF’s SDDS to which Mauritius has subscribed, data provided in the Reserves Template are compiled in accordance with the IMF’s International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity: Guidelines for a Data Template (2013) and disseminated on a monthly basis with no more than one-month lag in line with the Bank’s Advance Release Calendar. The definition of international reserves is in line with the guidelines of the Sixth Edition of the IMF's Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6).
