It has come to the notice of the Bank of Mauritius (Bank) that Rogers Capital Credit has suffered a data privacy incident whereby client data was unlawfully obtained and published on the dark web.
According to the entity’s assessment, the compromised data primarily relates to client records up to December 2022 and may include sensitive personal information such as identification details (Passport/National ID Card), proof of address and income, and, for some clients, banking, credit, and civil status information.
Members of the public are encouraged to monitor their bank accounts and financial statements regularly, and to immediately contact their bank in case of any suspicious activity or if they have any doubt regarding the authenticity of any unsolicited communication received.
