It has come to the knowledge of the Bank of Mauritius that the details of thousands of cardholders from countries in Africa have been compromised. The information has allegedly been misappropriated by Bulgarian fraudsters. They are planning to use the stolen information in several countries to defraud the cardholders.
Cardholders are hereby informed that they should take all necessary precautions with regard to the usage of their cards. They should immediately inform their banks of any problems or unauthorised transactions.
