1. It has been brought to the notice of the Bank of Mauritius (‘Bank’) that fraudsters are currently using the logo of the Bank of Mauritius and the name of another licensed bank to defraud members of the public by inducing them to believe that they may be granted loans against payment of a commission.
2. The Bank therefore urges members of the public to exercise caution when dealing with such individuals.
3. Members of the public are invited to contact the Bank on 202 3918 or 202 3907 for any clarification in this respect.
