The Bank of Mauritius announces the issue of a 20 Rupee bi-metal coin which is circular in shape with a diameter of 28mm and a weight of 10 grams as from Friday 7 December 2007 .
2. The obverse design features the portrait of the Late Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Kt with the surrounding inscription “DR THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR SEEWOOSAGUR RAMGOOLAM KT”.
3. The reverse design features the front façade of the New Headquarters Building of the Bank of Mauritius and surrounded by “MAURITIUS 2007 TWENTY RUPEES”
4. The coin has been minted by the Royal Mint, United Kingdom .
5. The coin will be legal tender in Mauritius in accordance with Section 37(1) of the Bank of Mauritius Act 2004.
